CLEARING THE PATHWAYS

TO ALLOW THE JET STREAMS OF ABUNDANCE TO FLOW FREELY AND EFFORTLESSLY

Hello, My Darling Co-Creators!

I'VE GOT ONE QUESTION FOR YOU TODAY !!!

ARE YOU READY TO RECEIVE?!?!?!

Let's get our receptors open with our grounding thought!

"THERE IS NOTHING I CAN'T DO, BE, OR HAVE!"

Your goal is to get your thoughts and intentions in alignment with what you want and then use the science of design, blended with the power of the Law of Attraction, to make your home a magnet to get everything you want.

To literally make your home a transmitting station to the Universe!  It doesn't matter if you rent a 500 sq ft trailer or own a 10,000 sq ft home!  If you want more....and I think you do, YOU NEED TO SEND A CLEAR MESSAGE!

First, you must establish your intentions, then you will develop the design based on those intentions and then, allow the Universe to manifest your desires, your newlife, exactly the way you designed.

I remind you of this at the beginning of each Design Tip, because I want to keep that process at the forefront of your mind and MINE!

I am not about pretty pictures or current trends.  I am all about empowering you to connect with Source and receive all the abundance the Universe has to offer.

In this DESIGN TIP - I'M GOING TO TEACH YOU HOW TO CLEAR YOUR VISUAL & PHYSICAL PATHWAYS TO AMPLIFY YOUR VIBRATIONAL ALIGNMENT!

TAKE A FEW MINUTES TO MEDITATE

ON WHAT YOU ARE WANTING....

WHAT DO YOU WANT?

In your meditation, use all your senses to visualize your newlife!

SEE IT!  FEEL IT! SMELL IT! TASTE IT!  HEAR IT! CONNECT WITH IT!!

I WANNA CONFESS...

I LOVE MY STUFF!  I spent years feeling bad about loving my stuff!  My mother, my sister, my friends and boyfriends would all shake their heads in dismay as they tried to help me get organized.  The truth is, I'm a bit of a mad scientist and I like a little chaos!  I feel more comfortable with lots of interesting things around me!  I've got piles of papers, fabrics, rocks, photos, coupons and feathers on and around my desk!  These things inspire me and make me feel good!

FEELING GOOD IS THE KEY TO FEELING BETTTER!  THE BETTER YOU FEEL - THE BETTER LIFE GETS!

Once I accepted the fact that it was OK to surround myself with things that inspired me, even if those things seemed disorganized to others; I loved them!  It was then that I accepted my true mad scientist self and started to really embrace that "creative" side of my personality as a GOOD THING, not something that needed to be fixed.

I was able release myself from the bad feelings and good things started to happen.   In the process, I created a method that helped me organize my "inspirations" in a way that guided my good feelings toward my intentions with deliberate focus.

NOW, I LOVE MY STUFF, IN A POWERFUL WAY - AND YOU CAN TOO!

Honestly, I feel a little frozen in a space that's too tidy!  I feel a little tense when other experts even mention the word de-cluttering or organizational techniques!  Now, that's just me...Marie Kondo has sold millions of copies of her book, "The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up".  Her method is all encompassing and delves very deeply into each nook and cranny of your home.  She has been super successful helping people organize their spaces and improving their lives as a result.  Personally, I break a sweat just thinking about all that work.

Having organized storage absolutely makes you feel lighter, happier and more open to possibilities!  Clearing out the old absolutely makes room for the new!  It's been proven over and over by people a lot more organized than I am!  There are tons of choices when it comes to de-cluttering and organizing.  A friend of mine shared a 31 day de-cluttering calendar with me the other day. (Link Here)  This really worked for her!

We're definitely gonna tidy-up and eliminate stuff, but mostly I'm going to be asking you to focus on the space in front of the closet doors!  I'm teaching you to focus on clearing your line of sight, your visual and physical energetic pathways, more than your junk drawer or linen closet.

I enjoy IMMEDIATE GRATIFICATION!

And I'm not looking to do a bunch of work!  So, when I talk about clearing the pathways, I'm not talking about creating a sterile environment or an overwhelming project!  I'm talking about looking at your stuff with a balanced perspective, using your image of your newself, in your newlife and learning to organize your space in way that represents that image, with the least amount of effort and the least amount of money.  You are going to develop a design plan that uses your stuff in a way that INSPIRES YOU in a cohesive way AND sends a clear message to the Universe about what you are wanting!

Ideally, you want to use your old stuff and maybe some new stuff to create a balanced design that appreciates the things that are working for you and removes things that might be literally blocking your connection with SOURCE!

"GOD GRANT ME THE SERENITY TO KEEP THE THINGS THAT INSPIRE ME,

THE COURAGE TO REMOVE THE THINGS THAT BLOCK ME AND

THE WISDOM TO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE."

Now, all that being said, there's a big difference between having interesting bits of inspiration and CLUTTER!

CLUTTER doesn't have to mean a lot of stuff either!

It could just be that the things you have are in the wrong places and they are causing visual clutter!

IMG_2759.JPG

I'm gonna use this recent client as an example of how visual clutter distracts your focus and creates vibrational static in your message.

Jay is a hardworking 27yr old man, who rents a home in a nice neighborhood in Seattle.  He shares the house with three roommates.  The roommates have varying cultural backgrounds that sometimes collide in the shared living areas.  The roommates were not interested in participating in making any changes and are happy to let Jay do all the work!

Jay has been working his Law of Attraction practice for a while, but wasn't getting the results he wanted.   He didn't have a budget, but was open to exploring his space in a way that would improve his energy.  He was very clear that he wanted to BRING MORE MONEY INTO HIS LIFE!

First, we identified his Primary Focal Point as the dining area window.  Once we did that, it was easy to see that the two small pieces of art distracted from his Primary Focal Point.  By simply removing the painting and star, we gave the eye a place to rest and "forced" your attention to the dining area in a light an natural way.

We did a few other things in his house, driveway and yard that cost under $100.  That was 2 weeks ago.

He called me yesterday!  He received 2 random checks in the mail that morning and by the end of the day had been offered the job he had been hoping for!

He said "I can't believe it!!!  This stuff really works, WOW!"

LET'S GET IT WORKING FOR YOU!

FLOOR PLAN

To get the best results, I'd love it if you could draw a sketch of your home, including the driveway!!  It doesn't have to be to scale or have straight lines!  This is an important tool because it helps you to visualize your space in an objective way and helps to identify the direction you want your eyes and energy to flow without your stuff distracting you.  You might actually see spaces in a whole new way and find opportunities you hadn't noticed before.

If you really don't want to draw just keep mental notes about your space.

  • INCLUDE:  doors - windows - fireplace - decks - sinks - toilets - closets - laundry - garage - mailbox - other fixtures that you think are important

fINDING YOUR FOCAL POINTS

Start at your driveway!  Yes, your driveway!  It's super hard to find those good feelings if you're not happy with the first impression of your home.  Your Primary Focal Point should be your front door!  AND it should be a joyous journey of Secondary Focal Points to get you there!!!  - See Design Tip #2

WHERE ARE YOUR EXISTING FOCAL POINTS?

  • Front Door - Primary
  • Mailbox - Secondary
  • Trees or plants - Secondary
  • Garage Door - Secondary
  • Walls or planters - Secondary

MARK YOUR FOCAL POINT(S) ON YOUR FLOOR PLAN - or make a mental note

  • Is there anything distracting you from your pleasing thought of walking towards your front door?
  • Are you maximizing your natural focal points?
  • Do you need to redirect?
  • Are there dead or struggling plants?
  • Cracks in the driveway?
  • Missing or broken stones?
  • Do you have any seating at the entry?  Is it clean and welcoming?
  • Are there empty hooks for hanging baskets?  This creates a feeling of emptiness, so either fill them or remove them.

FIX OR TOSS ANYTHING THAT IS BROKEN IMMEDIATELY - DON'T HESITATE - DONATE

CONTINUE THIS PROCESS THROUGHOUT YOUR HOME -

I want you to walk through your front door as if you just landed from another planet!  Holding your intentions and vision of your newself, your newlife firmly in your mind...

  • Walk through your home and identify the Primary Focal Point in each room.
  • Identify your Secondary Focal Points
  • REMOVE EVERYTHING THAT DISTRACTS OR BLOCKS YOU FROM YOUR PRIMARY FOCAL POINT.
    • FURNITURE
      • bookcases at the top of the stairs that block your energy is a common one!
      • Too much furniture in a room - Do you need it? - Is it helping or blocking?
    • Accessories - Too much or just enough?
      • How many crystals and Buddhas does one really need?
    • Broken Drapes or blinds
    • Remove all unused hooks and nails - patch the holes
    • Artwork / Photographs
    • Plants
    • Floor lamps
    • Laundry hampers should be either beautiful or hidden and never at the entrance to the room
    • Is there anything that feels heavy over your head at your desk or bed? - YIKES!  MOVE IT!!!
    • Can you see STUFF hidden behind the TV or crammed into bookcases that distracts you?

You might find that you have some pretty powerful places in your home that you hadn't noticed before.   We'll discuss what to do with these in next month's CREATE A VISUAL TREASURE TRAIL Design Tip #5.

RELEASE WITH LOVE

OK, you've begun clearing the visual and physical clutter in your larger spaces!  Let's take it to the next level and get down to the real nitty gritty job of closets, drawers and storage!  The BIG JOB of sorting and tossing the little stuff!  Take it a space at a time!!

EVERY SPACE HAS A PRIMARY FOCAL POINT - EVEN YOUR JEWELRY BOX!  Find that Primary Focal Point in each area and then work from that point.  Does it fit my newself image?  Do I need this in my newlife world?

Take it a room/area at a time!  Have FUN!  If it stops being fun, then you should stop and rest!  Until you feel ready to proceed with letting go!  This can be emotional stuff, so be good to yourself in the process!!  YOU'RE AWESOME, AND I KNOW IT!!!

Put on upbeat music, grab a few bags, boxes or bins.

LABEL THEM:        RECYCLE    TRASH     KEEP        MAYBE    RETURN

I LOVE TO DO THIS WITH A FRIEND!  SOMEONE TO LAUGH WITH, SOMEONE TO CRY WITH, SOMEONE I TRUST TO HELP ME SORT THROUGH MY STUFF!  SOMEONE WHO LOVES ME ENOUGH TO SAY "LET IT GO" OR "NO!!  YOU HAVE TO KEEP THAT!!" -

If you don't want your friends to know the truth about what's in your closet, you could just ask them to help you with the MAYBE BOX :o))

MOMMY'S LITTLE HELPER

MOMMY'S LITTLE HELPER

The goal here is to be intentional about what you are saving.  Ask yourself "Does this fit with my newself image?"  If not, let it go!  If you can't let it go but don't know what to do with it, put it in the Maybe Box!

Get into the backs of your closets and storage areas!  You might find some old treasures that have renewed purpose in your newlife design!  Once you've cleared the pathways, you may find a new place for your treasure and it can have new meaning and purpose in a new spot in your home.  For now, keep all of these in the MAYBE BOX, until you know what to do with them!

KEEP THE MAYBE BOX NO LONGER THAN 30 DAYS!  You can always resort your Maybe Box and whittle it down over those 30 days.

Items that you want to be able to pass down to your children should be stored properly to avoid damage, while other mementos could be put on display where you can appreciate them.  I’ll show you beautiful ways of doing that in next month's Design Tip - CREATE A VISUAL TREASURE TRAIL.

Beware of memorabilia that carries negative emotions, like photos of exes, gifts you feel guilty for hating, and diaries from really low points in your life. Out they go! There, doesn't that feel good?

Don’t neglect your bedroom!  You’re personal sanctuary is probably the most important and most neglected room in the house.  Too often, it becomes a spare storage room, where we can dump things until we can get around to them. Piles of dirty laundry on the floor, unread magazines spilling out of the bedside tables, dust bunnies, shopping bags, children's toys, you name it, it ends up here.

Is that anyway to treat your temple of love?

IMG_2080.JPG

I'm going to take my own advice this weekend and spruce up my bedroom!

You should start feeling lighter, more intentional and focused on what you are wanting.  Knowing that you are deliberately creating a pathway for the Universe to provide all you are wanting will begin to bring that positive energy directly to you.

You're going to start noticing things in new ways!  Good things are coming to you in surprisingly delightful ways!

I'd love, love, love to hear from you!!!  www.thedesigndoctor.com/comments
